From our producer

Thank you for visiting the Tensei Pearl website.

Tensei Pearl sells pearl jewelry at department stores and event venues across Japan. Many customers there say to us, "We meet again!", and this greatly encourages all of our staff.

Customers we meet at the venues often ask us, "What is Yura Peninsula in Uwajima like?" Our hometown lives alongside a rich sea whose face changes from moment to moment with the seasons and the weather.

Access by car from the city is poor, and in truth it is a very inconvenient place. It takes about 40 minutes even from central Uwajima.

When we travel to department stores across Japan to sell, it takes nearly three hours just to reach the nearest airport, Matsuyama. But no matter how tired we are or how late it gets, we always come back to this hometown.

To make fine pearls

We never leave the place where our pearls are grown. Watching the sea, the weather and the oysters, we hold this work, which lives alongside the blessings of the sea, very dear.

The oysters' own strength matters, of course, but the more care we give, such as regular cleaning, the better the pearls respond in quality. That is one of the joys of this work.

A work of art created together by the power of the sea and human hands: that is a "pearl".

If you see Tensei Pearl at an event somewhere in Japan, please come and say hello. And please pick up and look at the many items grown by the sea and by us, and processed by us.

And if you ever have the chance, please come and visit our hometown. All of our staff look forward to seeing you.
